I've traded my straight Jcm "Vintage" Marshall 4x12 cabinet for a Mesa/boogie Half-back Cel/Vntg 2x12.

In the bottom part there should be a Eminence speaker, right?
I tried to open the bottom to see what speaker actually there is and I found out that it's full of a white acustic isolation material. Is this normal or it must has been added by someone?

I did this trade because I wanted a cabinet for my Mark III.
By the way I really "suffer" the difference of bass respose of the 4X12 solution.

Excuse my bad english.

The insulation material is stock. Do you have a stereo jack? I have a 212 that had the C90 and Eminence Vintage 50 but I changed the Eminence out for an EVM 12L which I have been happy with. If you get 2 EVM 12L speakers in you will definitely outdo a standard celestion loaded 412 cab for fullness.

I have no idea how they compare to the original 12L. I don't think Mesa liked the reissue and is why they are not offering in their amps.
