I know, right?! I've been playing the mess out of my III for days on end now...even switched my stereo cabs around for diff tones and almost bought ANOTHER III yesterday just to have MOOOORE stereo, but alas, i'm holding out for the perfect IIC+

Damn you, cremona, making my wallet itch so bad!! :D Sounds like you're enjoying the new machine! What's the low down on the new tube configuration?

Your damm right im in boogie nirvana this days :)

This amp is somthing else, cant quit put words to it, but it sounds orgasmic to me, even with crappy recording it shines.

It has noticbly more gain then the other one i had , and the bottom end is much more tight , and it really has that animalistic roar to it.

I sold all my tubes with the old c+ i had but manged to collect 2 NOS Tungsram 12ax7 for V1 V2, and 3 nos RFT 12ax7 for V3 v4 v5 ,

The power tubes it came with are 4 sylvania 415 str (Peavey labeled), and thats have i run it right now, but in simul class.
I have just orderd a pair of sylvania/philips 6ca7 ( the same as mesa 416 str , so i can run the el34/6l6 combo.

There is no more gold in the treasure box, but by the end of this month it will be serviced claend up, and have pins 1 and 8 solderd together and replace the old power caps.

gts is also on the move with new stuff for the amp shell.

Il post some more clips when i get the sylvania 6ca7`s

Oh the clip i posted, it wassent even semi cranked, this thing will be like a rocket after it gets fixed up and i crank it :D :D :D :D :D

With the 105 PT Mark IIC+, the dynamics come alive at a certain master volume point. I would not even bother posting clips played at a low volume. The amp takes on a completely different sonic character when turned up to its "grail" potential. You will know it when you hear it. 8) This is extremely evident in the rhythm channel playing clean-ish.

You are so right.

When i had the upgraded DRG with the 100 pt , i thourht for a long time that when i had the master and lead master on 2 i where in the early sweetspot, but I was so wrong.

(This long head with the 105 PT is even louder.)

When i sold that amp i brought it to the guys large rehearsal room and we hooked it up to his mesa recto 4x12 , it sounded great with the above power settings, and based on that sound it was allready sold, but as soon as i got the master on 4 and lead master on 3 , we looked at eash other in disbeleive, this was when the power tube saturation kicked in, it sounded so much better i couldent belive it , it was like a different amp.

But i was LOUD as f... , he laughed a bit and said this one is not going back to his apartmet, it sounded so much better when opened up.

Luckylly , il soon be moving to a new place with my girl and there i will have a basement i will turn into my own studio/music room. :D

I think il buy another boogie mark amp , one i can use for pratice with a band, because this one have to be protected like it was fort knox  :)

Sounded great. I'm glad I didn't plug it in now. It would have been much harder to ship.

Hi dave

yeah this one might have been just the one for you also, it would have been very cool if you had played it also, the all sound a bit different, and this one puts out a ton of gain, i have my gain settings 2 steps below have i would normaly run my former c+ . and it has the most spanking bottom end i have ever heard from a boogie.
One more cool besides that it was a org fully loaded simul class, is that it actually came with 4 sylvania 415 str,(but with peavey logo`s) and the apear to be running at full capacity, but wil get them tested while the amp is on the tech bench.

You my friend should be name the boogie Angel ; )

Today i wanna try and dial in some good, deep south blues tones ,
