Just bought the album for download. The website doesn't tell you what bit-rate is available, and of course it's a mid-quality VBR. Pretty unimpressive!

Here's what CdBaby says about digital downloads:
Our hi-res 256kbps MP3s are comparable to iTunes Plus quality.

I haven't tried myself so hopefully it's what they say it is.

Listening to it now, about 4 songs in, it sounds pretty killer man! Love the lead tone... very thick and in your face. Sweet playing too 8)

About the MP3s... well their website lies. They aren't 256kbps, they aren't even 256kbps VBR, they look to be about a 224kbps VBR. Which isn't horrible, but every other place I've downloaded a CD from that I purchased offered it in 320kbps or FLAC format.

Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
