So here's what seems to be happening:
The higher I keep Vol. 1, the quicker the transition from Lead to Rhythm gets.
That's why I hadn't noticed the problem before, I only recently started running Vol 1 at around 5 or 6, which I find sounds WAY better for both Rhythm and Lead channels, because it allows me to crank Master 1 up a couple notches higher. But with Vol 1 that low, the gap during the switch is quite noticeable and unusable for the sometimes quick transitions in our songs.
