IIC high gain?

Hey folks,
I'm looking at buying a IIC combo (simul, eq, reverb), and I've been trying to find out if it can do high gain, metal tones like the Mark III or IIC+?
Or is it really just suited for AC/DC type rock tones?

Any help is appreciated,

It can go beyond AC/DC but you aren't going to get near the gain of a C+ or a MKIII.
