Hey guys, I am the guitar player for my band Crash and I am looking for some new sounds. If anyone has any pedals, amps, guitars, or anything they think sounds really cool give me some feedback on it. Post some samples of you playing around with it if you want, I'm just lookin for some new ideas.

take a look at all your current settings and try the exact opposite.

automatically switching to neck humbucker for fat solo tones? go for your bridge pickup instead (even better if it's split/single-coil! If fat solo tones are where it's at, why do all these guys play Teles...?)

Always "scooping" your rhythm tone? turn up the mid instead. turn the gain down; turn up the master volume, or vice versa.

Borrow a friend's amp, doesn't matter what it is, and start playing it with whatever settings he had when you picked it up.

if you're a metalhead, turn on your local country radio station and try to cop one lick, note for note, out of every song...!

I play all types of music, and am looking for any effects. Distortion, modulation, delay, fuzz, and anything else you can think of. It doesn't have to suit a specific style, I'm just looking for some new gear to play around with.

Buy a Mesa triaxis, 20/20 power amp, bad monkey overdrive, get a stereo mark series cab with the cel and EV speakers, put a delay and verb in the loop, and call it a day! You can go from lofi sounds to some really heavy rhythms at the click of a button or anywhere in between. I have eveything except the delay and verb and really am loving life (as far as tone and gear goes anyway).

If you need lots of tones the TA can be your best friend.

I think that CoG made a good point above, by changing your settings around or trying different styles of music. Find your inspiration in your fingers.
