Im building an 806 cab off the plans on the EV site. The site says to line the back, top and sides with fiberglass insulation. Ive seen many PA cabs like this but never a guitar cab. Do I put the insulation in my cab or no?

In almost every thread I've ever read on this subject the majority say to leave it unlined as the lining makes the cab sound a little too dead.

I've only used an uninsulated theile, so I have no personal expertise on the subject.

....a little late, but Mesa didn't use the same dimensions as those quoted by EV. A friend and I went down the same route when we made a couple and only realised after we had made them. :(

What changes did they make?

Looking to build a Thiele too... I have one EVM12L laying around and want to make a cab for it. The Thiele seems by far the best option.

Does someone know what Mesa changed in the EV TL806 design? EV's plans on the 806 are incomplete IMO btw... still figuring out the size of the (10 something) internal cleats :?
Anybody figured this out before building?
