humming

I used the Mesa recommended setting from the manual last night and got a brilliant sound after a bit of tweaking. Nicest modern sound I have got so far. Who knew?
Only problem is I get a fair amount of humming. Is this normal? The gain is on about 11.00.

what kind of guitar + PU are you using? any pedals?

A20 Washburn with Seymour Duncan Custom Custom/Jazz HBs. All pedals are in a loop so out of the signal path until switched in except Korg Pitch Black which is true bypass. I don't use any effects when I am on the modern OD. there is a TC Nova Delay in the effects loop but there is no noise on the clean channel.

i get humming from my dual rec, but most of it is from the guitar, if you have a noise gate give it a whirl
