How's the turn around time been for sending Mark series amps back in to Mesa lately?

well I've emailed Molly twice about my tubes and haven't even gotten a response, so lesson learned
don't send in your amps with any NOS tubes because they will poach them for themselves.
Must be the "Gibson culture" taking hold I would've never expected this from Mesa.
Has seriously soured an otherwise good experience, my Mark IV is ripping.
That sucks - mollie usually gets back right away- not good to hear this

My Mark I reissue came back last week and, as usual, Mike B. did a great job. Mike did a couple of tasteful mods that really made the amp even better. Of course, UPS managed to break my power tubes on the return trip. I'm just thankful that they're not NOS Sylvanias.

I had some decent Gold Lion preamp tubes in, but nothing to mortgage the house over. A pair of MB 6L6s otherwise. I’ve got a good stash of Winged C tubes here waiting, but no point in risking them to UPS! I’ll post what comes back, looking like this summer. Lol

mine just arrived today 1/21/25 will try to remember to update (mark iii getting service and ++ mod)they told me expect 8 weeks minimum im pretty sure
Got the email on 3/11 from Mike B that he was done and it would be "burnt in and playtested tomorrow".So to the OP this was what 7 weeks? Not too bad as i wasnt in a hurry ,just wanted my old antique to be back to "as- good -as-can- be condition ,++"Cant say that im not itching to get it back now (shipping back to east coast so im expecting that to take a while too)

For you techs/wizards ,part of his notes were "Added grid isolation resistors at the A/B sockets, and replaced the screen resistors on them too (the 470 ohm 2 watters were cooked)" Does this sound like something that was affecting my sound or anything very serious ?Just curious ....

All in all great service from MB would highly recommend while you still can get a hold of him. Will report back when i get my hands on it (blue stripe drg 3++)

Congrats, yea 7 weeks is not bad. The grid isolation resistors help with noise and oscillations in some tube types. Safe to assume the cooked screen resistors would have failed eventually. Good he went thru it.

Man, while my Mark IV was with MB I got really intimate with my Friedman Plex and modded 2204. Now that the Mark is back it suddenly sounds small... my ears are so used to that Marshall roar that it's going to take me a bit to readjust to the super tight but narrow Mark. I hope I haven't reached a point of no return.

thanks for the reply....could that be caused by running improper tubes?
( i have tried 4 6l6 instead of e34 outers on the DRG) or is it just something that wears on anything?

Same thing kind of happen to me as well, I got my Splawn all dialed in and it much "wider" sounding , no where as focused as my Mark IV
but after a couple of weeks back now it's all good I've got the mark IV all dialed in as well, 2 very different amps both awesome at what they excel at.
