How much is my dual rec worth you think?

Depends on what year a little and condition of the inside and components. Anywhere from $800-1200.
I've seen them to as low as $700 now days with the Mini being out.

I had one just like yours and wanted to sell fast, so sold to a buddy for $600.

Its a 2001 and it works great, It was retubed last year and havn't really used it much since i stopped playing with a band. all the flaws are cosmetic and even those are small. i was guessing about 850 - 900 but i wanted to ask and see what other people thought

Dude, NICE CAMERA!!! Those are FANTASTIC photos.

It's crazy to think that with the Mini and the Recto Reborn out, the old 3 channels have plummeted so far in value. I mean, consider that there are people up here in Canada who probably paid over $2,500 new just for the head right when the 3 channel version first came out.

Now, if you look hard enough you can find a 4 x 12 in decent shape for < $500 and a head for < $800. I'll have to go on record as saying that this is now the absolute best value for the money for these amps! With those sorts of used prices, how do music stores even sell gear anymore?

Thanks, Those pics were taken with my phone! I had the post up a while back in classifieds and I was asking 900 but the pics were terrible. I decided to put it in the back yard with natural light and they came out well. Yea, the old 3 chan duals seemed to not be worth much these days. It a shame, Its a great amp. I was looking to maybe trade for a Mark III but the way things are going Im going to settle with a Randall RM100 with a Jaded Faith Mark X module. Those randalls are getting kinda dated as well but theyre pretty cool. theyre all tube modular heads, they have a bunch of tube preamps you can choose from that are designed like alot of different awesome amps. The custom modules from like salvation, sacred groove or jaded faith are almost spot on to the amps theyre modeled after. Ive always wanted a Mark series head, Hopefully this will get me through till I can save up for another mesa.

It's funny as a Canadian I remember financing my 08 dual rec seeing people pricing them so low is beyond me why they do it but for my 08 dual rec it was a round 2100.00 new. But anyways I'm really happy with what I have and the tone I get out of it. It's kinda like those guys with the older rec amps like from the 90s they all have a different characteristic in tone from every rev it is.

I'd put it's current value between $700 and $750. I bought a 2001 DR in perfect cosmetic and functional condition off of CL for $700 3 years ago.

Yours has some cosmetic flaws that in my opinion bring down its value - but I'll give you $100 for the retube.

Without the retube I would have put the value around $650.

Just my opinion because you asked

There are always people who want to buy new. Hell, I bought my DR2010 new, but that was a few months after it came out.

Chances are probably slim, but you could always pick a lemon when buying used. I never had trouble with something used, but no one wants to pay 800$ and then another 500$ when something crapps out a month later ...

I appreciate all the opinions given, I had it 950 shipped but no one hit on it.. maybe the price is why. It seems the value has dropped from what they were selling a few years back. I was gonna trade it for a randall mts head but changed my mind. I too am very skeptical on used gear, especially gear thats massed produced in asia. I bought a used Egnater tourmaster head which sounded great but the reverb channel started going in and out, I changed the preamp tubes with the same effect so I ended up selling it at a loss. The buyer seemed eager to get it even with that flaw so I'm guessing it may have been a easy fix I just didnt know how to do?

I might just be better off keeping the DR and outright buying a new amp.
