How do I hook my pre-amp up to my amp head?

I need to test my Triaxis to see if it's the true cause of all the problems, how do i run it into my rectifier head? Thanks.

Put your Rectalfire head on the clean channel and hook up the triaxis output to the FX Loop Return on the head. Plug your guitar into the input of the triaxis. That should do the trick.

Does it matter which channel he puts it in? I thought that connecting a preamp to a return bypasses the head's preamp. So it shouldn't make a difference. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, generally speaking that should be right, though I know almost nothing about the Rectos. The only way it could matter is if the power-section gets altered/re-routed/whatever on channel switching, and to be honest I'm not even sure if I can come up with an amp that I know does that. Even so, that would only change the character a bit, and setting it would be a matter of taste.
