help with tone

Here is a video clip of a band called The Audition, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a pickup to get the tone of the rhythm guitar. 37 seconds into the song is a good place to hear it. The guitar will be a Les Paul custom and the amp is a Mesa Roadster with a 2x12 3/4 back cab. I have a Bill Lawrence XL-500 and an SD Full Shred on the way, as well as an SD Jazz and 59.
