been dialing in my Roadster 2x12 since I purchased it alost 6 months ago
and to be honest I really don't get to play it as much as I would like, in my current situation 2 kids and one on the way, as well as trying to keep my tennats happy...
I play mostly high gain Rock ala Vai/Petrucci/Gilbert etc.. and I'm finding that @ 3:00 on channel 3 it gets kinda fuzzy but when I back it down to 1:30 or 2 I tend to loose alot of sustain, but it gets rid of the fuzz. Been reading a bit on tube replacement and so far I'm looking at this combo "Mesa Dual Rec 6V6 - GZ34 - High gain pre option" from euro tubes...
anyone familiar with this setup?
I'm looking for a sound similar to that of Blues Saraceno (hairpick album)
if anyone is familiar with his work. Would I benefit from a hotplate?
or maybe a Boost pedal? or both?
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
