Would it be best to run the new line6 m13 through the effects loop in just in front of the amp. Guitar to m13 to amp?
 
use the front input. in the loop, you still have a 10% "dry" signal coming through. you cannot eliminate this. front of the amp for a completely saturated signal.

Can be eliminated with a serial loop mod ;)

IMO time-based effects like delay and reverb sound like poo when used before pre-amp distortion.

Does the M13 have a "wet-out only" setting? This would be the ideal output setting to use with a parallel loop.
