OK..here it is. when i play on my MKIII 60w bluestrip, after a while, not long, usually between 15 to 20 minutes, I suddenly have a sound level drop. I know the powertubes are fine. I had it check not to long ago. One thing weird. is if i take a jack and run it trough the effect loops a few time fast, then the sound returns to normal for a while. I opened it up, i'm not specialist obviously, but all connections on the FX Loop look fine. THis might sound like a dumb question, but is there a tube specialy for the FX loop?.

If not, what else could be causing this?

thanks for your help guys

have you tried leaving the cord plugged into the loop, just looping it from the send to return? if that solves the problem, then your fx loop jacks are probably old and/or might be (thermally) expanding to break the connection when nothing's plugged in.
