and 2 peavey sp5's http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peavey-SP-5-2Way-15-Speaker-Cab?sku=601393

that i have hooked up all normal in stereo mode, but my delima is that i bought to new peavey tls mains with 12" speakers and a horn. i want to use the new speakers as monitors. how should i go about this with only 1 power amp.is that enough power to run all 4 speakers?

i thought about running 1 side of my power amp to mains, and the other for monitors, but dont know if my speakers are made to chain together although there are two 1/4 jacks on back of each speaker. if they can be chained together should i just hook each monitor up to back of each main?

sorry i am brand new to all of this,so any input would be very greatfull

Yes you can chain the monitors together, but do not connect the monitor speakers to the main speakers in any way.
Your first thought it correct.
Use one side of the power amp for main speakers only and the other side of the power amp to run just the monitors.
The amp will handle it no problem.
All you need to do is hook the main output from the board to input 1 of the power amp, then from output 1 of the power amp to the input of the main speaker, then out of the main speaker (the secondary input or an output will function the same) to the other main speaker.

Do the same thing for the "monitor" speakers
Board monitor out, to input 2 of power amp, output 2 of poweramp to monitor cab, secondary input/output of that cab to input of other monitor.
Obviously use "speaker" cable to make all speaker connections and "line" cable for board to power amp connections.

You will be running your mains in mono but that should be no problem. Unless you have a but load of panning/ effects running through your P.A LOL.

I'm sure you didn't need the instruction spelled out so simply, but maybe other/new members might need it that way.
Hope it helps.
