I'm looking to find a way to route my pedals with as little tap dancing as possible.
I want to have my isp g-string+ts808+keely comp. on when I'm in the dirty channel of my dual rec then be able to switch to the clean channel and have the pedals turn off. Hope I explained myself right lol Would I need to route through the external switching inputs on the back of the dual rec???
Sorry I'm confused thanks for any help

You'll have to invest in an effect switcher. There's nothing within the amp to automatically switch external effects on and off when you switch channels.

Look ar the Radial JX-2X pro Switchbone. Pricey but works well for your application.

Yes this is possible without having to buy an external switcher. Just set the loop assign knob on the back to Channel 2 or 3. That means the loop is only active on that channel. If you switch to channel 1 (clean) your FX are essentially switched off because the loop is bypassed.

Edit: I just reread your post and realized your pedals are most likely out front and not in the loop. Youll need a switching system.

How would an ABY switch turn his effects on/off when channel switching?

Uou are quite right. An ab/y box wont. I was thinking that switcher was the loop switcher by Radial. The Radial Bigshot Mix or EFX appear to do what the OP wants. What he is asking for wont turn his pedals off either, they will just lift them out of the loop. He could put three effects in the switching loop that he uses for one song only, use the radial switcher to toggle those effects in and out but it wont kill power to those effects.
