What's this about the Mark V not having enough power?
90 vs 100 watts in terms of DB is pretty much nonexistent. 50watts will be like 3db lower than 100 and you need to go down to 10 watts to drop 10db.
FWIW, the Mark V and Dual Recto are both fantastic amps. The Mark V is a fantastic amp in terms of feel, tightness, and the lead / solo tone is unreal. The amp is brighter with more mids and it cuts better. It's a great lead player's amp. The Recto, by contrast, is a great rhythm amp. Sure, it's not the tightest, but with a boost it can get plenty aggressive. The wider, growling, scooped tone really sits well in the mix for riffing and chording.

I'm currently jamming with some guys and I'm playing lead on a Dual Rec with the rhythm guitarist playing a mark V. My mids are dimed and he still cuts more but it works. It sounds huge anyhow...
