Hi everyone, my name is Doug and I just got my first Mesa a few days ago. Its a single rectifier 50 solo, series 2 and I love it. Bought it used but this guy took great care of it, looks new, not a scratch on her, got the footswitch and the cover for the head too. Its my first tube amp and needless to say Im very impressed. Im coming from a Marshall AVT50 head which I liked but the Mesa is a beast, I play classic and modern metal and classic rock with that metal edge to it. Was in a band but due to creative diff we dont play too much, so Im now just jammin with couple buddies tryin go get a band started back up, thanks for havin me and look forward to learnin anything and everything Mesa, here are a few pics of my gear..........................Oh and I just ordered a Weber 100watt attenuator, this Mesa sounds killer turned up but my ears were ringin LOL

Congrats on the new amp dude your lucky that its in such good condition! Rectifiers are beasts man youll enjoy it so much!!

Congrats! You made quite an upgrade coming from an AVT. Way to make me miss my Triple Recto that I sold last week.

Just added a Rect-O-Verb Series II 50 head to my stable (using 6L6's currently).
My only concern was it's having a parallel FX loop instead of series like the Lone Star Special, Lone Star, Mark IV, and Stiletto Ace I have. There's a dimensional quality to it I cannot fully explain, and it can scream like anything. Enjoy!

Definitely looks good man, the 50 solo head that the other guitarist I play with is what got me looking for a Mesa. Believe it or not it's the clean channel that I was shocked with (of course the crunch is good.) I couldn't believe how crystal clear it was and i've been missing that with my other amps. Enjoy!

There is a mod that can be done to make the effects loop series, the guy I bought it from had already done it, all kinds of info about it on the web
