Now that it's all said and done, what are your thoughts about the Mark III+ versus the real C+?????? Tell everyone here about the "hype" that the non-C+ owners speak of.

Let me guess. Is it something to do with the feel and response to your pick attack? The C+ tone is much easier to mimic than the vibe that comes from the REAL DEAL. It is very hard to put into words, cannot be interpreted with any soundclips, has not a DAMN thing to do with Metallica, and is magic when you are the one squeezing the guitar neck. If you need a Sylvania support group in your area, see Jim. If you need an official Mafia T-shirt, I have the underground connection. 8)

the feel and pick attack are great on the real deal !
for me its the tone....
alot of people seem to buy the IIc+ because this band or that band uses it - *** that..
i just love the tone!

Congrats, man! That is a beauty right there for sure...jeez! That head looks identical to my blonde Mark III head.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you pick this up from?

All the Best,
~Nep~

well i hate to be the bearer of bad news but ive lived in Georgia only 13 years

i am a true yankee thru and thru ! :)

If you are a permanent resident of Georgia for more than 10 years, then you are in the "transitional" stage. When you reach the 20 year mark, your neighbors will treat you to a special ceremony, thus casting out all the yankee demons. You're on the countdown, now. Practice up on your Allman Bros. and Atlanta Rhythm Section tunes. They are on the final exam.

lol these guys are cracking me up!

anyway cool purchase dude. i like to think i had a hand in buying that with you lol!

congrats!

There are some jokes involved with the responses. There are some absolute truths in there as well. Your 3+ is the "straw before the needle" in Boogie language. You have been warned.

if you are trying to say that I will probably be interested in an honest to god IIC+ in the near future you are completely wrong....because I'm ALREADY GASing for one now!!!!!

I was off work today, and let the hardwood C+ breathe a bit, all in celebration of a "discovery" by another southern boy. It doesn't get much better than this. 8)
Funny, I felt the same motivation today inspired by the recent acquisition of a pair of dual-getter Sylvania 6L6s pulling about 42 ma (not Mesa-branded). There is certainly a difference. Today saw another discovery for me: an incredible medium gain rhythm tone on the lead channel with only Bass and Master pots pulled. For me, this is one of the best sounds I've ever coaxed from this machine: smooth, tight, aggressive, articulate. I also learned today how keeping the Treble pot pushed really brightens my amp, and pulling it then creates an amazing midrange-thick, medium gain lead tone. I know...it took me a while. I think I'm just realizing how profound an affect on the amp Ed's (Boogiebabies) recent blueprinting really had. If the Treble pull-pot could be footswitched I'd be in heaven.

After ONLY two years, I think I'm finally beginning to truly understand its DNA, and it just keeps getting better...
