New guy, long time Boogie owner. Now that we've met...

I traded for a halfback cab in pretty good shape but I'm not so certain I like the speakers. It has Emi Swamp Thangs in the bottom and V30s up top. For a lack of better way to describe it, the cab sounds confused. The Emis are bass heavy and the V30s are treble heavy. It sounds pretty good on my red channel but on green/yellow it doesn't work so well. Should I just get MC-90s and EVM12Ls for this thing and call it good?

Yup. At least that would be my choice - EV's on bottom with C90 's on top.
Killer cabs, but weigh a ton.

I had one with EVM12L's, and it was the best/loudest cab ever!!

I have EV's in one of my 4X12 Recto cabs, disgusting.

Mesa wisely chose C90s on top and EVM12Ls on bottom for the Mark cabs. I don't think there is anything that works better. I love them so much that I bought 2 of them, and I have a mini-me version for the MkIV, which has an onboard C90 and outboard Thiele with EVM. 8)
