i know it doesn't have ev's, but its still a decent deal.
the 3 input jack plate on these is hard to find.

Damn NICE ! Thanks for posting !

I might go for it & hunt down some EVM's, I know Russ...good luck with that, right !

I don't know why I'm such a halfback freek... I get really excited about these f'n cabs, it's weird.

I just like 'em...

I would have called him myself but I just unloaded an EVM I have been stashing for the day I get a 2x12 halfback. I had put my halfback quest on hold.

I hear ya man, there ARE other things in life to be concerned with, that demand attention and resposibili....wait...

Mesa halfback......

halfback.........

what kind of speaker setup..........

EV's...............

Eminence.........

VINTAGE................

OR

MS12's....................

Black Shadows ?????

They're ALL friggin' Black Shadows, damn, Mesa..........

What have you done to me ???????????

Ah, halfbacks, loud and warm....GOOD !!!

I'm ok now. Nothing to see here.... Please move along

They don't make these any more do they?

It's a cool concept I'd really like to hear what it sounds like.

It is like playing two types of cabinets at once. They really sound great.

Unfortunately, they don't make them anymore.

Very tite sounding cab.....no flub, and great crisp highs. They are smaller than a Marshall 4x12 cab,but weight wise, there up there. A bitch to haul if they have the original handles(not a round bar,but a flat piece of metal, cuts into your hand),but a greta cab non the less.

Damn you guys work fast! Someone snatched that up already.

..I've been scoping out for a halfback 4x12, myself...

Looks like the handles were replaced. Those look rounded to me. And I agree, that was fast lol...If I see something I want with a buy it now, I think i'm going to show it to you...after I "Buy It Now"

They ARE IMHO the best guitar cab MESA or anyone has ever designed.
The Recto, RK, Thiele & 3/4 back's are all nice and sound great but they broke the mold with these hb's.

It IS like two different cabs in one, especially with different speaker configs.

I knew this one wouldn't last long at that price, $450 BIN...psshh

Most of my MESA player friends here in Raleigh and surrounding NC cities play halfbacks, it's pretty cool when we all have shows together, the backline looks awesome with metal grill stacks !

I just found a straight cab in a local pawnshop (in great shape) with MC90's/EVM-12L's, YES ! I put it on layaway as he knew what he had and was asking $575. for it....I did talk him down.

My next amp WILL be a Mark IV to stereo with my 93 DR... aaahhh, my tone-quest is coming to fruition !!!

Hey, I'm a fellow Boogie player in Raleigh. Currently working on getting the halfback, though!

Who do you play with? My band's going to be playing out again in a few months after a long writing hiatus.

Hey man, Mesa made these cabs with both, the earlier ones had the knife style with M/B logo on them, I think they used the same supplier as Peavey at the time 'cause they look exactly like that design.
Later on, they started using the rounded, no logo type handle.

+ the front logo plate changed 4 times, BOOGIE, M/B solid, M/B hollow and then the etched logo (non-plate)

Aaaaahhhhhh

Hey Steve, right now I play with a Black Sabbath musical tribute I helped form in 2003 called 'Hand of Doom' we were on hiatus too as I moved and lived near Rochester, NY for a bit, now I'm back here in good ol' Raleighwood
I was guitarist/vocalist in Bone Shelter, Tub of Noise, Detura.
I've been around the Raleigh scene for a bit !

PM me as there is a cool show tomorrow night !

no they weren't.
those handles came stock on the later ones.
the plastic ones were on the earler halfback cabs.
