Hey folks
Bought myself GT Substitubes adapters that allow me to use el84's. If you are looking to get your amp brighter these do the trick. These really change the character of the amp. One thing I noticed is if you go past 5 on the master there is'nt much of a spike in volume but a spike in saturation. Very cool. I have never had the master on 10 before and it's a great place to be. I did have to buy some calmer el84's ( they came with a set of 1's and I bought a matched set of gold 6's) and that smoothed everything out even more. This is an inexpensive way to give yourself more tonal options with existing equipment and I would recommend these to anyone.
