Having spent some time with my recently purchased Mark V, I have to say that the singularly most impressive tone shaping tool is the very simple looking 5 band graphic equaliser. I have not had an amp before that has one built in like this, but it makes me wonder how useful it might be in the loop of my Stiletto? I have installed a bias mod kit in my Deuce, and it has certainly transformed the amp, but it still lacks that bottom end that I have had in other amps. In fact, I wonder if a volume pot, gain pot and a 31 band graphic would give me as much versatility as all the modes? Has anyone else done this?

It's popular among owners of many different amps to put a 10-band EQ in the effects loop for tone-shaping. E.g., I used to use the MXR 10-band with my 5150s and XXX.
