What an awesome amp!!! I purchase the combo with an extension cab...sounds phenomenal. Before buying the Express I had several OD/Distortion pedals on my pedalboard......not any more. I now only have one (Metal Zone). The Express generate such rich overdrives and fabulous crunch that most of my pedals are headed for Craigslist.

I've had mine for over a year and have never needed to use an overdrive pedal with it!
And to think I spent all that time, energy, and money researching and buying pedals when the Express 5:50 was all I needed in the OD department. And the clean channel is every bit as satisfying. Every guitar in the rack (Gretsch Pro Jet, strats, tele, Les Pauls) sound phenomenal played through the amp.
