All I can say is WOW!! The Road King is still my #1 amp, but this thing has slid in to the #2 spot for my favorite amp! The only thing it really has over my Road King is it has a better clean channel.

At first I HATED it, but before I threw it out the window I swapped out the stock EL34's for some 6L6's and there was my sound! It went from a loose fuzzy distortion to a tight throaty distortion and the cleans went from VOX chimey to a darker Fender type of tone.. I actually like the 30wt mode better, it makes it a bit darker and the distortion from Modern to Vintage like in a Boogie.

I'll try to get some clips this week on my site and put a link up to them.

Oh, and for some reason, it has a lot more low end than my 2x12 RK combo??? Not that I want more, but it's there if I do and it's a tighter low end too.

Road King is still #1 though

Congratsl! I had one of those for a while and I agree, the cleans are outstanding. Wish they made a "tribal" version, that would look sweet. I did the same as you, swapped out the ELs for 6L6's and liked it much better. I thought it did an awesome job with humbuckers. Looking forward to some clips...

You're killing me :) I've just about settled down on my rig and now you throw this at me????
I would be curious on the clips....I've tweaked my ROV to a very nice spot, especially since getting a Les Paul Standard but still wouldn't mind a slightly smaller combo capable of gigging.

I've got a distortion clip on my site now..... www.guitartest.moonfruit.com . It's only about 45 seconds long.

Very nice! That lead tone is awesome - very smooth! How do you do your drums if you don't mind?

All drums and bass was done with Acid 4.0 and then exported to a .wav adn then imported in Cakewalk guitar tracks 3.0. I believe the drum samples came free with cakewalk guitar tracks pro 2.0.

Yeah it is!! Beats a drum machine any day (no pun intended)..... what else could you lay drums down with and then add bass, strings, keys, sampled instruments, and then even add your own recordings straight to a track? I was starting to think I was one of the only ones too.
