I have an unloaded convertible 1x12 sitting around gathering dust and was thinking of throwing a speaker in it and using for an extension for my combo. I was wondering what kinds of speakers you guys were using for extension cabs and what sounds good blending with the stock C90. A few specific ones I am thinking of are:

G12T-75 (its mid scoop might be a good complement to the Boogie mid hump)
G12H-30 (one of my all time favorites)
Greenback (or Scumback for higher wattage options)

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

none of those speakers are common choices when pairing up alongside an mc90, because they are (iirc) lower efficiency speakers, so if you put one next to the mark v combo, you won't hear much of the extension speaker.

also because of the wattage (at least with the greenie and the g12h30).

'normal' choices are the electro-voice 12L, the mesa branded MS12, the celestion vintage 30. all these speakers are 100dB like the MC90 and can take the pain of 90w (well, the v30 needs to be paired with something, but the other two are big boys.)

now i bet the g12h30 would sound awesome by itself with the mark v.

if i had to choose one of the speakers you mentioned, it would be the g12t75. but if i could have four of them in a 4x12 i'd chose two greenies and two g12h30s.
