The Assign rotary control on the back panel for the FX loop has 6 settings (going off the manual as amp is in workshop);
Loop On
Channel 1
Channel 2
Channel 3
FTSW
Loop Bypass
Here is what the manual says about this control;
An ASSIGN rotary control that allows you to have any combination of LOOP ON status or completely remove it from the signal path altogether.
I'm afraid I need a little more to understand what this selector does.
Loop Bypass. I think this setting means the loop is not used at all and cannot be switched on via the footswitch.
Loop On. I think this setting means the loop is always on and cannot be switched off via the footswitch.
FTSW. Does this mean I can switch between Loop Bypass and Loop On using the footswitch?
Channel 1, Channel 2 & Channel 3. I don't understand what these settings mean.
Any help appreciated. I recently used my loop for the first time and the next time I used the amp it sounded like total crap. Something went wrong, not sure if using the loop had anything to do with it (I've had problems with this amp since I bought it). It is now with a tech, again. I really don't want to sell this amp but it is pushing the friendship way too far. Plus selling something with a problem doesn't sit well with me. If only the thing would break down totally once and for all, revealing the ghost in the machine!
