I have a Caliber 50+.

The guy who sold it to me told me mesa boogie does not recomend conecting devices like compressors, or eq's to the loop.

I just got a POD XT Live.

Does this mean I can't connect it to the loop?

Do I have a loop that it is worthless?

I got a Mark III and I plug my Boss EQ GE7 (and a Ibanez DE7) in the loop and not having any problem. The EQ and the Delay sound way better in the loop.

hes just giving a recommendation as to where you should put effects in your signal chain. certain effects (like wah and flanger) sound better - to me anyway - before the amp, and most other effects in the loop. and dont worry, unless the loop is damaged, yes you can put anything in there (effects-wise :p)
