I have a Caliber 50+.

The guy who sold it to me told me mesa boogie does not recomend conecting devices like compressors, or eq's to the loop.

I just got a POD XT Live.

Does this mean I can't connect it to the loop?

Do I have a loop that it is worthless?

Probably becasue it's a parallel loop (but I'm not sure). Those things don't really work well in a parallel loop..... Neither does: Chours, Phaser, flanger, basically any modulation FX.... the only thing that sounds good in a parallel loop are time based FX such as reverb and delay.

The parallel loop is the only thing that Boogie does that I don't like. You can get those loops modded to serial for about $50-$75 at your local amp tech's shop.

That's my opinion too, kind of like mixing Coca cola with a great bourbon. If you can get your money back, there are better effect methods with a Boogie or just use the pod in front if you insist.
