Hey guys, my Mark V loop is on the fritz.

I have it set to FS on the back.......kick on the FX toggle on the foot switch and no loop on any channels. :?: Light for FX on the floor comes on and everything....just no FX. I set the back knob to all or one particular channel and it comes on and stays on fine. I tried disconnecting the foot switch...unplugging everything.....flipping on and off the bypass..etc. No luck. Any ideas? Thanks.

Also got some new pedals of goodness to feed the Mark V and picked up a brand new Dual Recto as well. Can't wait to run them both with a Big Boss ABY and blend the two heads.

How many pins are in your footswitch cable?

The Mark V needs 8 pins. If the centre pin is missing it's the one that controls the FX loop.

Hey just checked. It is the 8 pin one (not to be confused with the one from the Recto). Has anyone had this issue? Bad Foot Switch maybe? Thanks.

When I had that issue it was because the store gave me the wrong cable when I bought the amp. Produced the exact same issues (footswitch would light up, but the FX loop wouldn't turn on/off).

I'd suspect a faulty cable or that the cable is getting a bad connection.

Thanks again. Yeah I will see if I can order the 8 Pin connector. Can't use my Recto cable to test it as it is not a 8 pin.
