I'm currently using a Furman PL-8C power conditioner, which has served me well and I don't really have any complaints with. But - my friend is upgrading his power conditioner and offered to GIVE me his Monster Pro 3500. For free. Just from looking at Monster's website, it appears to be better than mine, but I figured I should hear some other opinions first. Any thoughts?

Either way, I'd take it if I were you. They are $300.

The 3500 does have extra features (line monitor, extra outlets, some XLR doodad). But I doubt it's a better power conditioner than the Furman. They will probably both work fine. Having the 3500's line monitor is nice, but it will cost you an extra rack space.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. But I wouldn't want to take it unless I was going to use it. I'd kind of feel like a dick if I took it and then either sold it or let it gather dust in my closet.
