How can I keep my dc power supply fasten ( is this the right word ? ) to the furman outlets ?
I mean if you shake the rack dc power supply can fall down !

Any idea ?

thanks

The power packs I'm assuming you mean. Try cable ties if this is the case.

Ciao ...

i tweaked my power supply prongs a little, and it stays in great. i just used a pair of pliers and twisted them a little from this "l" to this "/" and then the other one the opposite way, just a little so it still plugs in, but goes in firm!!

Really just doing this they will still plugged even when you shake your rack !
That's cool thanks

Sombra,

Unfortunately.....RawkTron is just sub par. Proven by the fact that they are not willing to pay the price for approval of an internal transformer. I recommend something of greater quality which, I think, we all agree is something up there in the T.C. Electronic, Lexicon, Eventide etc. range. Read: Anything without external transformers.

Seriously though, putting some heavy duty Velcro on the top and bottom of the Furman chassis may just work. Than all you would have to do is strap a strip of the velcro over the plug. What I did with this problem was a purchased a Furman Plug Lok and zip tied it to a two space rack cover on the back of the rack at the top. You will, of course, have to have space for it but it worked great for what I needed!

I have two wall warts in my rack right now but I upgraded the stock Furman outlets to ones that are much stronger at holding plugs so I am not having to deal with this problem. It was alot of work and I actually had to cut the chassis because the outlets were bigger than the stock ones.

Peace

I think you are wrong. If a rack processor has an external powersupply it doesn't mean it is a poor quality stuff,it means that if you'll have a power problem only your powersupplly will damaged. If it has an internal powersupply you will have to send your equipment to somebody fix it.
I think an external powersupply is cheapier than sending your equipment to fix !!

I was just kidding about the power supply indicating the quality of equipment....I just know your a big fan of Rocktron.

I don't know if I could tell the difference in sound between a Boss Digital Delay and my G-Force so I would never be anxious to criticize gear. Heck...one of my favorite guitarists (Ty Tabor) did all his KILLER TONE through a solid state amp so....really it's the player and not the instrument.

There was a guitar contest in Hawaii where this buy nobody had heard of showed up with a Gibson Melody Maker. He apparently roomed at a guitar school (GIT?) with Steve Lynch (of Autograph fame) and Steve really got his two hand inspiration from this guy. Anyway...Dave Murray (of Iron Maiden) was there as one of the judges and all these guitar players with custom Charvel/Jacksons went up and soloed. This last guy who nobody knew went up and plugged in and started playing. All heads turned and the place went silent as he went through Yngwie Malmsteens live solo all two handed on his "crappy" beat up Gibson Melody Maker. Jaws dropped and he went home with the winnings.

Sombra, you could play through a Rockman for all I care and I'm sure you would be just as enjoyable to listen to!

Peace
