Up for sale is my very near mint Mesa Boogie Mark I Re-Issue. I bought this amp used but I don’t think it was ever used prior to me owning it, if so…it wasn’t used very much at all because it was brand new when I got it. So, I’m the second owner of this amp and since I’ve owned it I’ve played maybe two gigs with it and used it a handful of times at home for practicing quietly. The rest of the time it has sat under its cover in my closet in a smoke free home.
Apart from some very, very light scuffing on the corner tabs, the amp is flawless. I’ve owned it for about six months, and if the wife and I weren’t trying to buy a new house…you would Not be seeing this for sale. I absolutely love this amp, it can achieve any sound I’ve ever wanted from smooth clean jazz tones to screamin solos. I’m a big Scofield fan and my band does several of his tunes, with my semi-hollow body I’m able to pull off his sound very well..mind you..the sound, not his chops
Now for some extra goodness.
When I received this amp the first thing I did was install all brand new Mesa Boogie Power and Pre-amp tubes. So the tubes are brand new and have very little play time on them. The second upgrade to this bad boy is the speaker. I had a EVM12L Classic 200Wtt speaker professionally installed in this amp to really open it up and get the full sound out of it that its capable of. The stock Celestion Black Shadow speakers are nice but this amp really sounds like a new animal w/ the EV installed. You can cut through any band w/ this amp, with any sound. While I was having the speaker installed I also had the amp fully checked over to make sure everything was working and on the up and up, not that I really had any doubts, but just to make sure…and it was…this thing is flawless!
The amp also comes in Black Tolex w/ a tan jute grill. I believe this was a custom order as the stock ones I believe were done in the ivory tolex. The amp comes w/ the nylon Mesa stock cover, and the original manual and original hang tags.
I will take zero shortcuts in packing and shipping this item for the new owner. It will be very carefully boxed and packed. Nothing short of a nuke will be able to phase it in shipment. This is a heavy, heavy amp, and with the extra padding I forsee the shipping cost for FedEx ground within the Cont. to be or exceed 75.00.
I'm asking 975.00 for the amp. I can accept paypal(+3%) and USPS MO.
