O.K. so it was on ebay. I have found there are very few sites via a google search which gives enought details about this pickup. The seller said it was out of his 1980 "parts" Fender Strat. It has a value of 7.83 ohms and has the yellow & black wires coming from the bottom of the bobbin once you untape the electrical tape covering the splices on the exposed white & black wires.
Any of you out there have one of the Fender products from the early 1980's using these pickups? I have a 1981 Fender "The Strat" in all original pristine condition. I thought the bridge pickup may have been bad. After removing the pickguard assembly it was just three weak solder joints. My X-1 has a value of 7.48 ohms
