Got an odd one here but I've narrowed it to either of the above.

Everything works on the footswitch except the EQ switch.

I never really noticed this because I keep the EQ on all the time but when I
defer EQ to the footswitch, the EQ won't turn on when clicked.

If I jiggle the cable clockwise and counterclockwise where it connects to
the footswitch, it will "engage."

So...there's a loose pin and/or connection there somewhere. It's not really
crucial at this point to the overall operation, but I wondering if this could be
a sign of a cable going bad or the footswitch's socket wearing and eventually
going bad?

The cable doesn't have any bent pins, but it's a little tough to get it in
the socket. The fs socket seems to look alright as well. Anyone else have/had
this issue?

I've yet to turn the ends around since this is part of a snake. I'll have to try
that later.

Thanks!

I've had a similar issue but with the Reverb, the blue light doesn't light up most of the time so I can't tell whether the Reverb is off or on when I'm standing further from the amp. I can't tell whether the cable is making a bad connection or it's the amp/FS

ive heard this is a pretty common problem. the same thing happened to me, and for me the loose connection was in the footswitch jack on the back of the amp. reversing which end of the cable is going into the amp helps a bit, as does making sure that the cables own weight doesnt pull it downward. once i get a rack to put my v in i think ill duct tape the cable up to keep that from happening.
