hello
this is the pics of my MARK2 b.

Hello,

From the chassis photo, the left jack looks to be a RCA jack? That should be the jack to connect the reverb tank.

If your Mark II amp has both the graphic EQ and reverb, then this is the appropriate footswitch:

https://store.mesaboogie.com/products/footswitch-reverb-eq.html

You will need a TRS cable to connect the footswitch to the 1/4" jack on the right side (next to the RCA jack).

If I recall from my Mark IIB, the RCA jack is for a reverb footswitch and the phone jack is stereo for a gain boost and GEQ footswitch.

hello
a big thank you for your answer and comments ....
really important for me...... not really easy to understand how can i use the Mark 2 b.

here you can find some data about mark 2 b....

Here you can see the MARK 2 B schematic.

red  Alimentation point
Blue  all jack
Pale pink  all selector
Hot pink  reverb connection
Pale green  all pots
yellow  Relay
brown  fuse
purple  Transistors
grey  Transfo, reverb, external footswitch
orange  all tubes

On the chassis You can see the 2 jacks in blue (A & B) :
What kind of device i can put in ?

When you look at the schematic you can see many jack (all blue circle) :
-Effect send ok (rear)
-Effect return ok (rear)

-Input Guitar ok (front)
-Pre-amp OUT / Power amp IN where ? chassis ? A or B ?
-Equalizer where ? chassis ? A or B ?
-Gain boost FS where ? front ?

-Slave ok (rear)
-HP output 8 ohms ok (rear)
-HP output 4 ohms ok (rear)
-HP output 4 ohms ok (rear)

-Footswitch external ok (front)

Thx for your assistance about my questions.

chassis strap:

anyone knows where i can find a chassis strap for MKII B ?

hole to hole is (136mm) i think it's a chassis strap with 5' 3/8 ....
for me in Europe, no chance to find it. i look in ebay (many suppliers ) and always same answer : with this dimension no.

possible for someone to send a set in Europe ? or anybody have a set of chrome strap for sale?

thx
dom

My MkIIB had more jacks on the bottom of the chassis than yours. On mine, either A or B was the gainboost/GEC footswitch jack and the other A or B was the preamp out/poweramp in jack. There were three RCA jacks- reverb send, reverb return and reverb footswitch.

i post a pict of my chassis .

My Apologize because i have 5 connections vs 4 in my drawing... 2 for the in out reverb, one for the footswitch reverb ? correct ? one for the pre ampli out/power in,(blue color)and one for the Gainboost/equalizer (Red color) ....correct ? i suppose the blue one is only a jack connection and the red one is a double footswitch for gainboost et equalizer ? correct ? my question is : why in mesa-boogie shop the name of the footswitch proposed is REV /EQ ? i think there is 2 FS: one with jack for EQ and one with RCA for Reverb ? correct ? is there a mesa-boogie document for the MARK2 B configuration ? when i buy my MK2 B i don't have any document with . i read for the standard use mark2b by Mesa-boogie in general and the maintenance doc. i want to learn how and what can connect on my MK2. i think all american guitar players knows the mesa boogie amp and can assist the apprentice that i am thx Dom

The problem is that back when these amps were made, they were made to order and there were quite a few options, plus they made running changes (revisions) as they went. The connections in an early MKIIB might be different than in a later MKIIB, even if the amps had the same options.

One of the manuals said that you could use a regular Fender reverb footswitch with the RCA jack under the chassis to turn the reverb on and off.
The jack marked "ST" on my amp was the stereo jack for boost and GEQ footswitch. Although the Mesa footswitch is marked EQ/REV, it should work fine.

The MKIIB manual is available on Mesa's website. It describes the jacks differently than how mine worked (including the use of the Fender footswitch for reverb).

Here's a link to another MKIIB manual that describes how the jacks on my amp worked-

hello all

thx for your comments and return
i understand that is very difficult : each combo with each different configuration.

For the MARK 2B the fact that the combo don't have a chassis strip is it normal ?

for the FOOTSWITCH any PCB or schematic ? i look the pcb références : MESA RP 09C and MESA PWR 07C.
i look in this forum and see many drawing RP10 11 for mark 2c ..... anybody have a drawing for RP 09 C ? and for PWR 07C ?
I think that the printed circuit (PCB) is aging badly and that it will have to be changed ....

Sincerely

dom

I do not have a schematic or wiring diagram for the footswitch.

I'm not sure what you mean by chassis strip. If you mean the metal strap pieces that the chassis bolts pass through on the cabinet, my MKIIB had the Sus-4 system (rubber chassis mounts). I think some others used countersunk washers instead.

hello Don
thank you for your answer.

the strip chassis is actually the metal band that is above the combo with the screws fastening the system. i 'm not having the rubber chassis holder I think it would be embellished with the strip chassis. For the Footswitch I think it takes a FS reverb (with RCA) a double FS (boost and Eq) and the existing FS lead / rhythm in front face.

i post a pict when i have it

Sent U a PM Don..
if you follow the jacks internally, it should be clearer what they do..

FWIW, RCA are usually reverb send/return..

Cheers, Dave

If there are 3 RCA jacks under the amp (one of the jacks is hard to see in the pic my MKIIB from April 20) 2 are reverb send/return and the other is for a Fender style footswitch.
