did the loop mod on my 96 rectifier....it took about 5 min. and all i can say is what the hell took me so long to do it?....it sounds thick, crunchy and not fuzzy like it did before. the removal of the green wire made me fall in love with my rectifier even more..lol i cant stress this enough for anybody that has not done this needs to do so.. now i can finally hear the chorus effect because it was virtually unusable without turning the mix all the way up and the depth on the unit.. i had to cut all effect levels back below unity now.. now i can actually add or take away effects intensity instead of running everything wide open. my amp sounds just like it did with the loop by passed except with effects now.. im very :D :D :D

Congrats on your new mod!! What type of recto? Is it a Triple Recto 3 Channel? Did you lose your solo boost funtion? I've been contemplating this mod, I'd rather not do it if I lose my solo boost funtion.

its a 1996 dual recto 2 channel.. from what i have read here . your solo boost will remain intact.
only thing i lost was the mix control which i dont need anyway.

I think the triple recto 3 channels are different, and a different mod applies. Do you know if it the same mod?

3 channel involves a little more stuff. there is some schematics on here though

Any link to this loop mod. "Search" function turned up a million pages of people talking about either their FX "loop" or "mod"....

there is some info and pics here. for the 3 channel: http://forum.grailtone.com/viewtopic.php?t=22866&start=45

That's one of the reasons I kept my send and mix at 100% before I did the serial mod. It just sounds better.

FWIW, the serial mod isn't a true serial mod. You'll still have some bleed through, and it's not really any different than maxing the mix knob.

i tried the maxing the mix knob and all i got was a fuzzy overtone. i agree its not a true serial chain. but to me it sounds better than maxing the knobs.. it just works better with the effects i use.. i could never get a chorus or flange to sound right by turning the mix knobs up. doing the mod was a last resort after trying to get my effects to work right and they do work better now. (i always got clipping past 2 o'clk on the send)?
