I was able to replace a failing FETRON in my V1 slot on a 1978 Boogie 100 watt. It took weeks to investigate this and help on this forum to complete the fix.

The fix has worked great ... several months after replacing the fetron with a 12AX7 tube (specifically like the EC883) and some other modifications, I am totally satisfied.

To help anyone else looking for this fix in the future, how can I post the pictures (before & after) on this site? I certainly would have appreciated it when I was on my search.

Thanks again to Boogiebabies for the assistance ... needed a little help to get there ... but I'm there now. 8)[/img]

The first time I've got around to recording my "post-Fetron" Boogie. I posted the clip on my website. Recorded with my Schecter & Washburn (not my trusty Yamaha). But I think it came out fine.

Everything else on the site is recorded "with Fetron".

Thanks again to Boogiebabies for helping me out on this fetron issue. :D
