The prodigy was made in the USA in the early 90's. It was the halfway point for Fender between the standard strat and their half hearted attempt at the Ibanez end of things, The heartfeild talon.
It's a good guitar. I worked at GC when we had a bunch back in 95 or so. They were pretty solid. I think we blew them out for like $399.00 back then.
