Fan Cooled MESA

Hey guys just wondering if any of you have turned off your fan coz it's annoying.
I guess my real question is how long can you run a fan cooled MESA amp w/out
burning anything (Mark IIC).

how loud is it??unusually loud? gotten louder as you have owned it??might be time to replace...simple and cheap-my Coliseum sounded like a 747 taking off!

Not really loud but it annoyed me.
Have you tried running it w/ fan off?

no-I dont notice while I am playing/the volume takes care of that
..kinda like in high school, when the car started sounding weird...just turned the vol. up on the stereo, and presto!the sound was gone/problem solved

well at low levels where you can hear the fan you could un plug it and it shouldn't be a problem. but at louder gigs where you really couldn't hear the fan under even the back ground noise USE IT! it WILL need it when its turned up!

I would leave it on. Cool amps last longer.
