Well I'm sure as hell not famous, but I do have a couple vids of me playing my Mark III with my band. I'm on the left and have a TS808 as a clean boost up front and an MXR Carbon Copy in the loop. Using my halfback cab with EVM-12L's. Guitarist on the right is using a 5150.

How about *current* famous users? Failing that, can anyone post a link to a video of someone using a mark III up loud on stage? Youtube has a bunch of vids but i couldn't really find any live stuff w/the mark III.

El Hefe on stage right (big mexican guy) using his mark III

That's a great combo with Eric Melvins Mark IV.

I was on the Vans Warped Tour this year and even standing behind NOFX' gear, it still sounded pretty slammin'.

Hi All,

I'd like to get a nice list of known artists who used/use the Mesa Boogie Mark III amp. I've seen some posts around here mentioning a few so far ex: Dan Spitz, John Sykes, Rocky George, Petrucci,Lee Altus, etc. There are probably quite a few more--would you know? Feel free to post. Thanks!

Best,
~Nep~
Well,me…

And just like Lukather, Mike Landau also used Mark IIC+ Coliseum head(s). I own a IIC+ KDRG Simul-class Coliseum head that once was owned by Landau.

^^^ yes,Stryper indeed went thru a ton of boogie gear over the years. Not sure if they were using mk iiis yet by soldiers, they were using Marshall's with eqs around yellow and black, which was right before soldiers, circa 85' and later the quads and 400s came in around or after to hell with the devil.Ive seen every tour but soldiers, had lunch with them a few times back in the day.Super nice guys, and always killer tone. This article is from my boogie bulletin news 88/89'
