Hi All, hoping someone can help. I've just taken my F50 out of storage (friend's garage, where it was kept for around a year). All seemed to be working fine, until I tried switching the reverb with the footswitch - it sounds crackly and horrible. I brought the reverb unit out and the springs etc. all look intact and functioning as expected. It sounds the same with the reverb unit outside the amp as it does inside.

I tried tapping the valves but this didn't change the horrible crackly noise.
It looks like the issue is somehow related to the footswitch - if I don't use the footswitch, it all sounds fine. Not sure if it necessarily follows that replacing the footswitch should therefore solve the problem (I'm thinking the footswitch itself might be fine but the circuit that bypasses/ engages the reverb might be at fault)? I opened the footswitch up, and it looks like there's not a lot to go wrong with it.

Anyone suggestions on how to fix would be welcome.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply deeman - worth trying another footswitch cable I guess, although I don't have a spare one unfortunately. Are they are standard type of cable, or Mesa Boogie specific do you know?
Just looked online - looks like a standard 5pin midi cable, so I'll give it a shot!
