Express with no Reverb

Hi All, I just bought an Express 5:50 yesterday and it's great. The only problem is that I cannot seem to get the reverb to work on it. I click the button on the footswitch and the light comes on, it doesn't matter where I set the dial.

Am I missing a switch somewhere? Did something come loose during shipping?

Any suggestions you have are appreciated. I'm hoping this isn't a really stupid question.

Try checking the cables that feed the reverb tank to make sure the are seated firmly.

The Reverb should work outstandingly.
Something wrong if it doesn't

I checked the cable to the reverb tank and reseated the tube and no difference.

Reverb tube?

+1. Could be a bad preamp tube that needs to be swapped out, try replacing it with a known good preamp tube to see if it helps. Check your owner's manual, there is info about tube troubleshooting. You can also call Mesa, they usually respond very quickly Mon-Friday.

The problem ended up being the reverb preamp tube. Life is good
