What would be a Mesa that would compare to the old Marshall superbass?

I have always liked the old superbass but I think I might like a Mesa offering as I am currently interested in Mesa gear and superbasses can be quite expensive now.

I really don't think there is a Mesa Amp to compare with your old superbass. Perhaps the closest is the 400+ all tube 500watts@20ohms.

I don't know if any old Mesa gear would compare better than what is currently available new.

BTW Mesa gear is also expensive.

Weren't superbasses just EQ tweaked superleads? Just 100 watters with a few tweaks to the pre to make it a bit more bass-friendly, as i understood it.

What were you hoping/planning to do with it? If you want a bass amp, I reckon the 400 is what you'd need. If you want a guitar amp, a Stiletto duece or a Road King switched for 34s would probably be your best bet.
