New Mark V owner as of about a month ago. I was playing around with it last night and noticed that the EQ is permanently engaged on channels 2 and 3. I can't turn it off. If I turn the EQ switch to the off position, the LED turns off, but moving the sliders on the EQ still shapes the sound. The switch does seem to turn on/off the EQ on channel 1. Now, I usually never turn off the EQ for channels 2 and 3 anyway, but it leaves me uneasy knowing there might be an issue. I have also tried setting the switches to "EQ FS" and turning it off via the footswitch, but no luck.

Any ideas or is this bound for my amp tech?

Thanks!

I've had problems with my EQ not engaging correctly and every time it's because the footswitch cable isn't firmly seated into the jack on the amp.

Good luck.

Unfortunately, the EQ is still active with no footswitch of any kind attached. Today, I hooked my RJM Mini Amp Gizmo up and hit the button for EQ on Channel 1. Channel 1 now behaves the same way and I can't turn off the EQ anymore on channel 1. I suspect there is something wrong with the gizmo that has done something to the circuitry that turns on/off the EQ. I'm going to have to take my amp into a service center it appears.

I'm going to send my gizmo to RJM and have them look at it....

Stay tuned.

Amp is fixed. Shorted transistor in the EQ circuit. I'm about 99% sure that the amp gizmo caused the short. I'm sending it off today to have RJM look at the unit.
