I get what you mean with the daffy duck thing haha. Their tone is borderline brittle sounding sometimes. It's all how you tweak it though, I can get mine to sound like that or super smooth. The 2k slider deals with that well. That's what I love about it, all the options. I enjoy an amp that I have to understand haha.

The Mark V and Electra-Dyne look pretty ying and yang that way. I'm stoked to hear it.

It can run either, but not both. From Mesa: "You can also load the Electra Dyne with EL34 type tubes for a brighter Brit style clip thanks to the switchable Bias Select."
