I think it can do a little bit of both, but I gravitate toward the Vox side of it. Right now, I have CH2 set up on Edge mode (usually on crunch) with my Blackout Tele. Giving a great Voxy sound that's perfect for modern worship music. A little reverb and delay in the loop and a TS style OD out front when you want a bump...very nice. A lot of ground covered in just that one mode on one channel.

This is with my Blackout Tele, which has three single coils and Strat style switching. YMMV with another type of guitar.
