Hello Everyone,

Starting next week tickets will become available for our April 17th show in Los Angeles. We will be opening for Jeff Beck!
You may or may not know this but Frank and Jeff were friends and played together for fun on a few occasions. They discussed making a record together. I would have loved to have heard that.

See you in LA.

DZ

We got second row in the orchestra..
:D

I saw Dweezil a few years back when he had Via and Terry Bozzio (Frank's drummer) with him on tour.
I would recommend the Zappa plays Zappa shows very highly. Amazing stuff.

A Zappa/ Beck album. Can you imagine what the would have sounded like?

I saw some tickets on craigslist for this earlier.. seriously considering it. However I'd prefer if they were headlining.

Jeff Beck was great as usual. He had a 25 piece orchestra behind him, and alternated between his soft material, and hard stuff. With the orchestra he did Over The Rainbow, Day In The Life, People Get Ready, and some songs off his new album. He did a great Rollin and Tumblin, and Sly Stone's Take you Higher, plus all his other big hits. Great show. At the end of the show he broke out his old Les Paul, and did a tribute to Les Paul with some pre-recorded vocals of Les and Mary singing.. Great show. He played 2 different Strats, a Tele, and his Les Paul. Great show. Did I mention that Zappa Plays Zappa opened the show? We hit Tommy's after the show. I got a double chili burger, and a chili dog.

I'll try find the set lists

Zappa opened with Apostrophe, Stinkfoot, Purple Lagoon, Nanuck, Montana, Peaches En Regalia, Willie the Pimp. I don't remember the rest of the songs I was too busy enjoying the show to make any notes. Dweezil was shreading it up, sounded great. He played a Les Paul, an SG, and a sunbust Strat, that had Franks face super imposed on it. Their band is tight. Check them out if you get a chance....

Nothing off Blow by Blow, he did play Stratus, Lead Boots, JB Blues, Most of the stuff was off his new album, "Emotion and Comotion"...
