Dream Theater/Petrucci amp on Images & Words CD

i really like jp's soloing tone on I&W, not so much the heavy rhythm parts (just a bit harsh to me)...
however, i think he started using a recto on "Awake"...
for I&W i've not found out what he used yet. Some peple say MarkIIC+, some Triaxis and some Quad Preamp...

Some told me he used the mark IV , mark IIC+ and the quad preamp.. these are probably all true for that massive layered sound, maybe we should ask him:

I thought I remember him saying that the whole Images and Words was Triaxis / 2:90 and a Roland JC 120 for the cleans but I could be wrong.

Now that I think of it and listen to the cd closely it sort of does sound like a triaxis, it doesn't have enough growl in some songs or isn't liquidy enough anyways peaceeee
